I don't really know what it is, but lately I've been soooo tired. My sleep pattern hasn't changed at all but even after working my normal shift I just wanna come home and take a nap. It makes no sense. Tonight, I am forcing myself to go have fun with some friends. I haven't been out past ten in like a week. Tonight I am going to Courtneys we are ordering a pizza, and Mitch and Mark are coming over (to move her washer and dryer because we are too weak to do it and it needs to be moved). I will be out late! I'm excited for the weeks to come. Next weekend I'm off to Vermillion to move some things in. (which reminds me I need to call housing and make sure I can move in on a Saturday- Remind me) Then 3 days later Chris, Ashely, Kevin, Laura and my ROOMIE Kayla are coming into town. (You all are crazy by the way, of all the things you are trying to fit in in a day, I live here and I can't even do it) :)
So it's 5:43 and I was supposed to get off at 5. SHOCKER! However, I don't mind getting paid extra, especially since Courtney's on her way and we are going to straighten our hair and do our nails. Oh the perks of working at a salon and spa. :) Talk to you again soon. Court's here. :P

Abrupt Ending
So at work today one of the stylists had a client at 11:30, she spent the first 20 minutes of the appointment telling him how to cut her hair...like exactly HOW to cut her hair. I think he knows he's been doing hair for 25 years. Then when she left she loved the cut and prebooked her next appointment. Then at 4:30 I get a call saying that she wanted to cancel that prebooked appointment, when I asked her if she wanted to reschedule she said no... then decided that she needed to tell me that she specifically told him not to cut it any shorter than necessary, and that now it was too short and he was a bad listener. This is what really happened... She went home after she left here LOVING her new haircut, and then when her husband got home from work...around 4. He told her that it was too short. So she called an complained that her hair was too short. Ok seriously people need to learn to think for themselves. If I went to see chris and I got a haircut and he thought it was too short, I am pretty sure that he would tell me that he liked it longer, But I would NOT call my stylist and tell them that I didn't like it just because my boyfriend didn't like it, seriously you have a brain, with personal thoughts... use them. People like that irritate me, and that happens a lot in this business.
I bought a mattress pad yesterday. Ben and I stopped by Target on the way home from Community Choir yesterday because he needed to get one...and then I touched it...it was soft. :) SO I bought one. So I think my bedroom is pretty much set for school, the kitchen too, all I really need to buy stuff for is the bathroom but I'm gonna hold off on that until Kayla gets into town. I think she's staying for a couple extra days so we can run to Target.
So my mom is sitting out in the parking lot waiting for me to get off work. I guess I should have told I'm probably going to be running like an hour late... oops. I should start closing now.

A Rant
I am getting very sick of waking up at 7 in the morning. At school I got up at 8 sometimes 8:30 but here 7. Sad. I need to go back so school so I can have a break from all this craziness. I've been constantly on GO since the first week in July and I dont really see the changing. The last couple weeks in July are filled with work and choir commitments. Then August is completely filled with work work and more work. Shelby and Carly leave for school so for at least a week half I am going so magically transform into my alter ego Super Receptionist and magically cover every shift for that week and a half. Then 3rd week in August I am off to school which means moving in and rush week at BN so more full time shifts. Hopefully Septmeber will bring some relaxatation even if it is mixed with a little homework. I'll take anything right now.
Ok enough complaining about how I'm too busy I'm sure it tends to get annoying. Yesterday was nice, I had the evening off and so Charisse and I went to Barnes and Noble and then met up with Courtney at Caribou. It's always so nice to get to see both of them at the same time, it's so rare. Courtney and I seem to work opposite schedules. When I work during the day (Everyday) Courtney seems to start at Pablos right when I get off, SO when we do get to hang out it's at like 10 when we are both tired from work or have to get to bed because we work in the morning. Charisse is a whole other story, I never even know when she's going to be in town between her camping trips, scott's cabin and Kansas. My point being that it is very rare for the 3 of us to actually spend time together making yesterday a good day.
I'm sitting at work, and there is a client waiting for one of our stylists to show up...who is already 7 minutes late. That is so annoying and so inconsiderate. Because she is late, I am the one who has to deal with the customers patience slowly drifting off into the air and disinigrating. I have to deal with the more frequent looks to the clock and then up at me. I have to smile like I don't know that the stylist is already late and that they don't "Have an appointment to get to after this." Really people, I'm not the one you should be complaining to, I was here on time, as you can clearly see because you are sitting on that nice apolstered chair as opposed to the stone cold curb sitting outside the currently unlocked door. You are also drinking the clearly recently made hot caffinated coffee. Don't get me wrong lady, I do feel bad that the flakey hairdresser hasn't come in yet but and I wouldn't be nagging you if you didn't act all sweet and cheery when she finally shows up. You say "oh it's not a problem, I don't have anything else going on today." when she says how sorry she is for being late...again. So the person who was here on time, ready to present you with an unlocked door and hot coffee gets the brunt of your rude foot tapping and frequent glares to the clock, and the tardy hairdresser gets your suddenly sunny disposition. Excuse me while I vent. Sometimes the women that come in here just aggitate me. As I'm sure you have figured out by now.
I should probably go make sure that there are enough towels in the cabinets... SO I will end my rant for the day. :) I'm sure I'll post later. I'm in the blogging mood.

Good Night
Yea so that "second best" book that I chose, Sleepless. Was not good! It was ok until the end...when it just ended, there was this big build up to the climax and then and everyone lived happily ever after. I seriously had to skim back just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I didn't, the last chapter just doesn't really go with the one before it. I wonder if the person running it though the mass printer accidentally dropped like a hundred pages and so the real falling action just got left out...that would be a better story to tell than the horrible excuse for an ending that I read. Luckily however, I bought 3 more books today and have about a zillion more on my shelf i have to read. I can't decide what i'm in the mood for, funny, serious, romantic, supernatural, light or heavy, long or short. It's a problem at least when i know the sort of book that I want to read it's easier to narrow them down. I just got Nightlight (the parody to twilight). I read the first chapter and it's hilarious. So i might start with that one and then go into one of the new ones that I got. I'll decide tomorrow it is now late, and I have to work in the morning.

Makeover
Hey ya'll! Felt like giving my page a makeover. What do you think? I still have the code to my old layout and because I love it so much it'll probably come back soon but occasionally I just need to switch things up a bit. Today is my lounging day, it's my first official day off in a while. Yea, I've had a couple days off of work every now and then but they are all filled with commitments that take up my whole day and today the only thing I committed to was a combination of reading and sleeping. So far I've done a little bit of both...and it's wonderful.I already finished one book and I'm just in the choosing phase before I start a new one. I'm thinking I'll start a relatively short book like Stephanie Meyers new Twilight Novella or something similar. A quick read is what I need today. It's nice having a day to relax before the CRAZY busy week that I have starting tomorrow. I'll be working doubles have two major choir rehearsals and two concerts not to mention it's River City Days meaning hard core balancing of family and friend time. I apologize in advance to everyone for not being able to see you or talk much this week. However, I will try. Time to read.

New Funke, Out September!
For years, Jacob Reckless has been escaping to another world--a world behind the mirror, where witches haunt the forests and fairies and dwarfs roam. A world for treasure hunts and magnificent quests--but also a world locked in a deadly war.
Jacob's secret seems safe, until one day his younger brother Will follows him, to disastrous consequence. Faced with a curse that is quickly turning Will to stone, the Reckless brothers are thrust into a race against time to find a cure before one of them is lost forever.
Inspired by the Brothers Grimm, master storyteller Cornelia Funke introduces a lush, enchanting landscape of fairy tales and legends re-imagined as never before. Reckless is a thrilling adventure and a tale of heroism, filled with danger, mystery, and above all, magic.
